ProTek RC "TruTorque" Clutch Shoe & Spring Assembly Tool

The ProTek RC "TruTorque" Clutch Shoe & Spring Assembly Tool simplifies clutch shoe removal and installation on .12 to .30+ size nitro engines.

To remove a clutch shoe, slide the tool over the crankshaft, guide the spring hook beneath the clutch spring, and rotate the handle counter-clockwise to lift the spring from the clutch nut groove. Pull the tool from the crank to remove the shoe and spring from the flywheel pin.

For installation, place the clutch shoe and spring over the flywheel pin, slide the tool over the crank, and use the spring hook to lift the spring above the clutch nut while seating the shoe. Rotate the tool further to release the spring hook, then remove the tool. Verify that the clutch spring is correctly seated in the clutch nut.
