Build and program the Tamiya Microcomputer Robot Wheeled Type. This construction kit includes a BBC micro:bit computer that controls the completed robot and can be modified with your own programs.
A pre-installed program lets the robot move forward while its arms and head move. When the ultrasonic sensor detects an obstacle, the BBC micro:bit directs the included Type 130 motors to avoid it.
Free online coding software supports visual programming. Programs available through the Tamiya homepage allow another BBC micro:bit, sold separately, to function as a remote control and enable additional functions. A computer, internet connection and micro USB cable are required for programming.
