Upgrade the front or rear differential of a Traxxas 1/16 4X4 vehicle with the Hot Racing Steel Helical Spiral Gear Set and Aluminum Cover Plate. Precision-machined helical spiral-cut gears provide smooth operation and greater inherent strength than factory bevel-cut gears.

Installation Notes

• Two sets are required per vehicle.
• Reuses Traxxas TRA7082 internal spider and carrier gears, as well as the output shaft seal and outdrives from the original differential.
• Does not include inner differential gears.
• Use removable thread lock, such as blue Loctite, on carrier screws.
• Use differential grease.
• Installation may require shimming for proper gear mesh. The gears should run freely without too much play or binding.
• Replaces Traxxas 7079 ring and pinion and 7080 carrier cover plates, except for the output shaft seal.
• Additional shims may be purchased using Hot Racing part number W8X.
