The Castle Creations Sidewinder 4 waterproof 1/10 ESC and 1406-7700Kv sensored motor combo is designed for 1/10 on-road applications using 2s power. The ESC also supports sensorless brushless and brushed motor operation, making it suitable for a range of vehicle setups when paired with the appropriate motor.

Application Notes

The 1406-7700Kv motor is intended as an upgrade for 1/10 scale on-road cars using 2s. It may also be used in some lighter off-road 1/10 stadium trucks and buggies with conservative gearing. It is not for use in 2WD or 4WD short course trucks. The Sidewinder 4 can be paired with 14xx series 4-pole brushless motors or used for rock crawling with a brushed motor down to a 19 turn.

A brushless or brushed motor and battery connector are required for operation. Recommended connector options include Castle 4mm polarized connectors, Dean's Ultra Plug, or Traxxas Power Connector. The ESC is not intended for operation while completely submerged and should be rinsed with clean water after exposure to corrosive materials or dirt.
