Castle Creations Sidewinder SW4 Waterproof 1/10 ESC

The Castle Creations Sidewinder SW4 Waterproof 1/10 ESC supports 2s–3s LiPo or 6–8 cell NiMH batteries for vehicles up to 6.5lbs with battery, ready-to-run. It offers sensorless brushless and brushed motor operation, along with programmable settings and telemetry capability.

Application Guidelines

• Suitable for short course, on-road and monster truck applications when paired with the correct motor.
• Can be used for rock crawling with a brushed motor down to a 19 turn.
• Compatible with any 14xx series 4-pole brushless motors.
• Maximum recommended vehicle weight is no more than 6.5lbs with battery, ready-to-run.

Operation Notes

• A brushless or brushed motor and battery connector are required for operation. Castle 4mm polarized connectors, Dean's Ultra Plug, or Traxxas Power Connector are recommended.
• Waterproof construction is not intended for operation while completely submerged. Rinse with clean water after exposure to corrosive materials or dirt.
• Confirm that the vehicle's batteries, servos, radio and chassis are also waterproof before exposure to liquids.
• Use the continuous C rating when selecting LiPo batteries. Castle suggests 5,000mAh or larger LiPo cells with a discharge rating of at least 30C, or high quality 25C batteries.
• Castle suggests using only mild gear ratios with NiMH cells and not using NiMH cells in extreme setups.
