Castle Creations Hydra Cobra 5 HV 12S Brushless Marine ESC

The Castle Creations Hydra Cobra 5 HV 12S Brushless Marine ESC is designed for boats up to 50 inches and features 32-bit processing for smooth motor control and fast response. Built on the Cobra 5 architecture, it supports up to 12S LiPo power and includes CRYO-DRIVE technology to reduce heat during partial-throttle operation.

A machined water-cooled heatsink with dual anodized fittings and a rugged CNC aluminum case potted in waterproof epoxy provide a marine-focused design. Upgraded current sensing, thermal protection, enhanced data logging, accelerometer measurements, and electrical motor timing support detailed setup and monitoring.

Wireless tuning is available through the B-Link2 Bluetooth Interface and Castle Link 2 app. The ESC also supports auxiliary wiring, transmitter programming, and programming with the included Castle Link V4 USB adapter.

Tech Note

Due to the high power nature of the Hydra Cobra 5 HV, appropriately sized batteries and connectors are required. A minimum 150 amp connector is recommended; examples include Castle 6.5mm polarized, EC8, and QS8. Do not use XT90, Traxxas, EC5/IC5, or any other connectors rated below 150 amps continuous.
